Wellness isn’t about fixing who you are - it’s about nurturing all of who you are. 〰️
At Better Mind and Wellness, we believe that healing begins with feeling seen, safe, and supported. This practice was created with the intention of offering compassionate, affirming therapy for people navigating the beautiful and complex intersections of identity, relationships, and mental health.
Our approach to care is holistic, trauma-informed, and deeply personalized. We integrate therapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, narrative therapy, and somatic and mindfulness-based practices to support your growth at every level. Mind, Body, and Spirit. We honor that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that each person’s story deserves a custom, culturally responsive path to healing.
Services
-
At Better Mind and Wellness, my individual counseling services are designed to help you get on the track to feeling “better” and uncover a “better” version of yourself. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, challenges, and aspirations, creating a personalized plan that fosters growth, healing, and a greater sense of well-being.
-
Though central to our well-being, sexual health is often the last need we address. Many of us carry inherited myths and taboos that make sexuality feel complicated or off-limits. In therapy, I provide an affirming, sex-positive space to talk openly, unpack those beliefs, and create a healthier, more authentic connection with your sexuality, one that honors your true values and supports your whole self.
-
Relationships can be deeply meaningful and deeply challenging. Couples/Partner therapy offers space to slow down, reconnect, and create healthier ways of relating. Together, we’ll explore patterns with compassion and curiosity, using approaches like Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness to support emotional closeness and mutual growth.
-
Sometimes relationships need more time and space for healing. Intensives offer extended sessions to dive deeply into recurring patterns and relational struggles. In-person intensives are available by request for clients in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Scheduling is based on a formal intake evaluation to ensure the right fit and structure for your needs.

Meet the Therapist…
Hi, I’m Jenn (she/her).
I believe therapy works best when it feels real and human. I bring warmth, humor, and compassion into our work, creating space to explore the struggles and questions that often feel hardest to name. Together, we’ll work toward understanding, healing, and growth in ways that honor your unique story. My intention is to help you build a healthier relationship with yourself and those you love, not to chase “normal,” but to support what feels authentic and sustainable for you.
When I’m not in session, you’ll find my alter ego at my favorite boxing gym or my inner barista exploring a local coffee shop or you’ll find me at home. Giving myself permission to rest.

My therapy style is relational, integrative, and deeply human. I draw from several frameworks that help me understand your story and your inner wiring, including Internal Family Systems, EMDR, attachment based theories, and mindfulness practices. I can name the alphabet soup of modalities, but what matters most is how I use them in service of you.
At its core, my work is about meeting your humanity with care, curiosity, and respect. I see therapy as a mirror that helps reflect both your deepest wisdom and your hardest truths. Together, we slow things down, make sense of your patterns, and create space for healing that feels authentic, embodied, and sustainable.

I do not accept insurance. Some clients are able to receive partial reimbursement for out-of-network behavioral health services, and I’m happy to provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance provider. I also accept HSA/FSA cards.
I choose not to work with insurance because it often restricts or limits treatment of certain diagnoses, session frequency and time lengths, and involves third-party influences that can compromise patient privacy, care and flexibility in treatment.
-
Therapy is both meaningful care and a professional service. Fees allow me to maintain a sustainable practice, invest in training, and offer high-quality support tailored to each client. I know financial concerns are real, so if cost feels like a barrier, I welcome you to bring that up in our consultation so we can explore options together.

Life can bring seasons of pain, confusion, and changes that are difficult to face alone. A Licensed Mental Health therapist offers trained support, fresh perspective, and evidence-based tools to help you navigate those challenges and curiosities with compassion and care.
Just as we seek medical care for physical concerns, our mental, emotional and relational health also deserves professional support.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
Therapy can be brief or ongoing, depending on your goals and what feels right for you. Together we’ll find a rhythm that supports your healing and growth.
-
Our first step is a short phone consultation where we’ll discuss your needs and any questions you have. From there, if it feels like a good match, we’ll schedule your first session.
-
Sex therapy is an affirming, conversational space to explore challenges, curiosities and feelings around sex and sexuality. It does not involve sexual activity. Instead, it supports you in better understanding yourself, your relationships, and how sexuality shapes your well-being.
-
For personal pages, I maintain a strict “no add” policy to protect your privacy and our therapeutic boundaries. You’re welcome to follow my professional pages, but please avoid commenting or referencing our work together to ensure confidentiality.
-
I understand that life happens. I kindly request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. This allows for greater flexibility to support other clients. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
-
Yes. My practice is focused only on adults.

"You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost

-Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
-If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
-Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
